By adopting a sociological approach, the present research tries to study distributive justice feeling among Khorramabad citizens regarding welfare programs of the Iranian Government; meanwhile, it reviews different approaches to relationship between development, distributive justice, and social welfare. The present research was carried out by survey method and using questionnaire in March, 2022. By considering social welfare levels in different urban regions in Khorramabad, the research sampling was designed through integrating cluster sampling and disproportionate stratified sampling with 400 as the sample volume. The results showed that the distributive justice feeling of Khorramabad citizens regarding social welfare was low, and only 2.4 % of the people considered this feeling high. And, regarding its different dimensions, i.e., distribution of job opportunities, employment, and governance, they felt more discrimination, and the feeling came to the lowest point regarding the dimensions of individual freedoms and their use of media and communications.Examining the hypotheses, the results showed that the variables social welfare needs, trust level for welfare programs of the government, and the amount of economic capital are more interdependent with the variable distributive justice feeling regarding governmental welfare programs. The regression analysis findings showed that independent variables predict 50.8 % of the variable variance of distributive justice feeling level regarding social welfare programs of the government. Given the fact that welfare policies –due to the vast majority of interest groups- are in the face of complexity, this research aims at designing an implementation model of welfare policies. For this purpose, the mixed method is utilized containing the qualitative method for designing an exploratory model (by interviewing 15 social policy-making elites) and the quantitative method for testing the model (by surveying 265 social policy experts). Results: the model dimensions consists of: Conditions, Strategies, Outcomes, Communications, Resources, Practitioners’ attitude and Organizational structure. Moreover, based on the quantitative findings, the structural analysis of data supports the correlation between indicators and indices and the correlation between indices and the main concept (welfare policies implementation). The Conditions dimension (foreign and interior) was the most important and the Resources and Outcome dimension were the least important, comparing all dimensions. The lack of a powerful and pivotal administration in the policy-making system that has been intensified by the merger of ministries, is considered one of the main problems. Based on the elites and experts’ ideas, the most important weaknesses are: imbalance between responsibilities and authority, inappropriate distribution of budget and bank resources, inadequate utilization of NGO’s capacity and civil partnership. In according to the findings, conflict of laws is an important obstacle for an integrated social policy implementation. Moreover, interorganizational communication for policy implementation isn't auspicious.

One of the main indicators of social and political development is political participation. Teachers are an important part of the human capitals of any society and through their political participation they can have a decisive role in political socialization. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between social welfare and the political participation of teachers. In this study, based on sociological theories, one of the effective factors in political participation is shown to be the feeling of having welfare on the part of people. The survey method is employed in this research, and the statistical population comprises all teachers in Marivan in the academic year 2012-2013. The sample size was 300 people, selected through stratified random sampling. The results show that the rate of political participation among 60 percent of respondents is low, while in 6 percent of the respondents it is high, and among 34percent of them the rate of political participation is moderate. The social welfare among the respondents is as follows: among 45percent it is low, among 13percent it is high and for 42percent of the respondents it is at a moderate level. The findings show that the variables of happiness, supply, needs, relative comparisons and education have a positive impact (direct) on political participation among teachers. The variable of preferences with a coefficient of – 0.34 has a lowering effect on political participation. However, the association between the variables of age, sex, marital status and political participation was not significant. Multivariate regression analysis showed that five variables (happiness, supply, needs, preferences, relative comparisons), in total, accounted for 39 percent of the changes in the dependent variable (i.e. political participation). The results of the present study show that in general, social welfare has a direct and significant impact on political participation.

Social welfare generally refers to a multidimensional economic, social, and political status. Its primary aim is to preserve the human dignity, to increase the responsibility of society towards individuals, and to enhance the capabilities of the society in individual and collective areas. The current paper aims to explain social welfare and its impact on the sense of security using documentary and survey research methods (closed-ended Likert-type scale) among Isfahani residents. Cluster sampling technique was used in the study. A sample of 384 residents of Isfahan was randomly selected based on their age, gender, and location of residence. The data was analyzed using SPSS and Amos. The results indicated a direct and significant relationship between the two variables of social capital and socio-economic status and the variable of social welfare. Moreover, there was a direct and significant relationship between social welfare as a dependent variable and the the sense of security. The structural equation modelling of the research indicated that the collected data were confirmed within the theoretical framework of the study.

The relationship between ethics and economy is one of the issues examined in contemporary human sciences. On one hand, some thinkers believe that economy and ethics should be segregated, emphasizing that since economy seeks to improve the quality of life and eradicating privations, it is a moral issue guided by the invisible hand of the market. On the other hand, some other thinkers emphasize on the negative consequences of economic policies and believe that governments’ interventions are essential for moralizing economy and that development of welfare states and welfare policies is analyzed accordingly. There are different theories of ethics any of which has stressed on different elements such as individual action, individual essence, and legal laws and arrangements, to explain the relationship between ethics and economy. Using social welfare as a construct in analysis, the present paper aims at explaining the relationship between ethics and economy based on an inter-subjective approach.

Social policy widely affected life of social actors and they constantly exposed to various social policies. This topic reflected in new social policy researches and its origins, causes and consequences. This research shows importance of social policy in Iran and examined necessity, situation and challenges of social policy researches in this country. Reviewing and analysis of researches on social policies in Iran shows less scientific and organized efforts for studying social policy. Social policy is week in its theoretical and conceptual nature and conceived as a virgin era for social science researchers in Iran. So, to promote social policy studies choosing relevant topics, using updated information and data can make productive theoretical and empirical literature in this field. Given the importance of comparative studies in order to utilize the experiences and achievements of other societies in the field of welfare policies and programs, the present paper is intended to provide a suitable framework for such studies by identifying and introducing the most prominent welfare systems around the world. To this end, firstly the most outstanding theoretical and empirical efforts in the field of welfare systems typology in the past two decades are reviewed and various countries which fall in each category are identified. Moreover, performance of various welfare systems is evaluated according to three indicators, namely: reduction in poverty, protection against labor market risks, and rewards for labor participation. Besides, characteristics of welfare systems in developing and less developed countries are studied and existing welfare arrangements in these countries are addressed. The paper ends with a brief review of the characteristics of the Iranian welfare system according to various provisions of the Iranian Constitution as well as the main developments in the welfare system of the country in recent years.

Political trust of people in the state is a prerequisite for better governing, development and meeting people's needs. While controlling country is no more possible with coercive power, Nowadays state cannot rule without people's trust and protection. Regarding scientific theories, an effective factor on rising political trust is satisfaction of life and social welfare.
This article is based on a survey which was gathered from a sample of 441 residents of Tehran in 2007. The data indicates that political trust of 52 percent of respondents is high and 32 percent of them is medium. Also their trust in political regime is more than their trust in political institutions and actors. Five hypotheses which take in to account the people’s attitudes towards state and its performance for providing their Social welfare, life satisfaction and life expectancy are confirmed. Findings show that if state wants to enhance people trust, it has to try for providing them social welfare and meet their satisfaction.
