The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between social acceptance according to planning of behaviour and sustainable development of students in using bicycles. The research method was descriptive-correlational, distributed by a questionnaire. The statistical population of the study was students of Imam Reza University of Mashhad. A randomized simple sampling method was used to collect the questionnaire (32 items) from 5 to 7 times 254 people. According to the probability distribution, 270 questionnaires were distributed among the subjects. A researcher-made questionnaire based on the Spritzer model (1997) and social acceptance questionnaire based on the theory of planned behavior of Eisen (1985), derived from previous research was used. The reliability coefficient (83/0) came out. Findings of the research indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between social acceptance and sustainable development (P<0.05). Also, 20% of the changes in sustainable development were related to the dimensions of social acceptance. Based on the results and given the importance of the role of social acceptance in improving and enhancing the sustainable development of bicycle use, it can be argued that by studying and researching this field, and paying attention to the development of these factors, we have taken effective steps towards achieving sustainable development.

The present research examines the social factors influencing the social health. This is a survey to identify and examine the most important social factors which influence the social health of the elderly in the city of Kouhdashat. This research is an explanatory study, with all the elderly of 60 years of age and older living in Kouhdasht as its statistical population. About 5508 people were 60 or over in 2006, when the research was conducted; 359 persons of this population were selected through Cochran’s formula and studied. To evaluate the rate of the social health and the influential social variables, the standard Keyes questionnaire and the researchers’ questionnaire, whose validity and reliability were confirmed, were used. The research shows that most of subjects had an average social health. Also there was a significant and direct association between social support, social status, communication skills and social health. However, no significant association was observed between spare time and social health.

The present study examines the relationship between work and family role expectations and the conflicts between work and family domains. It studies the relationship between these conflicts, as dependent variables, and the independent variables of work control, family involvement, social support for work and its dimensions and the social support of family. The study assumes that high expectations of work role and control in the workplace are associated with work-family conflict and also with family role expectations and family members’ low involvement in family-work conflict. It is also thought that social support for work, by reducing control of work, and family support by increasing family involvement, decrease work-family conflicts among women. The population of this study includes all married women employed in the organizations of education and police force of Kermanshah, including 115 (56 policewomen and 59 female teachers). The results showed that high expectations of work role, work-family conflict and family expectations create family-work conflict, and these conflicts are more common in female police officers than female teachers. Control of work was associated with work and family conflict, while there was no relationship between work-family conflict and family involvement. Also, there was a significant relationship between social support for work and control of work, on the one hand, and between family social support and family conflict, on the other hand.
