Despite a wide range of documents, articles, and circles that increasingly cite "social capital" as a way to promote the health, family social capital is a missing link in cancer studies. Women suffering from cancer find an important part of their life meaning in lived family relationships. In this study, a qualitative approach with an emphasis on interpretive phenomenological method was used to understand the perception and lived experience of women suffering from cancer and their families of mutual norms in family ties. Field data were collected using interview techniques and data saturation criteria. The respondednts included women with cancer referred to Omid Hospital in Urmia and a family member who accompanies them to the treatment center. Analysis and coding of data show that some themes such as the break in the structure of family social capital (first mother, then wife) and the negative social capital in the participants' experiences indicate how social capital within the family has adversely affected the health of women with cancer. The themes of silence / protest, cohesion in emergency situation, and hidden mediation suggest that social capital is reciprocally affected by the disease and it can somehow be strengthened by it.Keywords: Family social capital, positive social capital, negative social capital, lived experience

As a psychological and social matter, happiness is affected by direct and indirect experience of people from various social conditions which is vital for accessing safe life and enduing social relation. While paving the way for sense of security, accelerating social safety and stability of mental health and happy society, in this study, happiness is accentuated in relation with sense of security. Using survey method, the correlation was studied among 381 students of Azad university of Tabriz which were selected through stratified sampling. T test, correlation and regression tests were used for data analysis. Results show that financial, job and emotional securities have meaningful relation with student’s happiness.

This article aims to study the relationship between some individual and neighborhood factors and mental health among 18-65-year-old citizens of Tehran. The survey method has been used the data has been gathered from 448 citizens in 25 neighborhoods in the city through multistage cluster sampling technique. The data has been analyzed using SPSS. To study the simultaneous effects of individual and neighborhood factors, a 2-level linear regression model has been employed. The results indicate that the level of mental health among Tehran citizens is 4.46 (on a 1.2-6-point scale) and medium to high; and based on taking bivariate analysis, all individual level factors, including respondents’ age (positively), SES (positively), healthy lifestyle (positively), marital status (in favor of married), and gender (in favor of men) are statistically related to mental health of the respondents. The results of the fitted 2-level model show that all individual level predictors, except age, have remained significant predictors of mental health at individual level, and the social characteristics of the neighborhood positively and significantly affected the mental health at level 2 of the model. Individual level factors accounted for 13.23%, and social characteristics of the neighborhood for 33.89% of the mental health variance at individual and neighborhood levels, respectively.
