The aim of this study (2012) is to investigate the relationship between the sense of security and trust. This research is based on the theoretical approach of Giddens. Giddens believes that the new world has brought about non-reassuring and unsecured situation. So trust will provide the formation of security and if trust is not grown, it will be fears and feelings of security. Target population of this research included all Arak citizens. Technique of data collection is based on questionnaire. Sampling method is stratified random and sample size is 400. In this article, sense of security is measured in the four dimensions of financial, physical, intellectual and collective and the relationship of each of these dimensions are measured separately with trust variable. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between trust and sense of security. Since generalized trust has a stronger statistical correlation with sense of security in comparison with other dimensions, the proposed solutions for increase social trust are provided in order to increase the sense of security.

This article aims to examine the factors influencing life satisfaction of citizens 18 years and older in Ahvaz. To develop the theoretical framework and explain the problem, some relevant sociological views were adopted and the hypotheses were extracted from them .This research was carried out in the form of a survey, and questionnaires were used to gather data. In this study, the research population was comprised of all citizens of over18 years of age in Ahvaz; this population was set at 384 people using Cochran's sample size formula. This study was conducted in the years 2013-2014. The results show that all independent variables, other than the variable of loneliness and the social justice variable, have a significant relationship with the dependent variable. Regression results show that only the two variables of health and sense of security had significant impacts; in total 34% of changes in life satisfaction are explained by these two variables.

The current paper is a report of a research on the level of religiosity and sense of security among the female high-school and pre-university students in Tehran. In this scientific work, one main hypothesis and four sub-hypotheses were formulated using the integrated theories of religiosity and sense of security. The hypothesis and sub-hypotheses were tested through survey research, using a researcher-made questionnaire. The Statistical population consisted of 400 students who were selected using multistage cluster sampling. The results indicated that there was a significant inverse relationship between religiosity and sense of security among female students. In other words, the more religious the students were, the less sense of security they had. Moreover, each of the dimensions of religiosity (ritual, experiential, ideological, and consequential) had a significant inverse relationship with the sense of security. In general, all of the hypotheses were confirmed by reverse.

Its primary aim is to preserve the human dignity, to increase the responsibility of society towards individuals, and to enhance the capabilities of the society in individual and collective areas. The current paper aims to explain social welfare and its impact on the sense of security using documentary and survey research methods (closed-ended Likert-type scale) among Isfahani residents. Cluster sampling technique was used in the study. A sample of 384 residents of Isfahan was randomly selected based on their age, gender, and location of residence. The data was analyzed using SPSS and Amos. Order and security are fundamental indicators of human welfare and necessary for the growth and promotion of society and individuals. The relationship between social trust and sense of security among Tehrani citizens is examined and guidelines for its development are proposed.
The method of research is that of survey. The population consists of Tehrani citizens residing in 22 districts of Tehran, above the age of 15. The sample size is determined to be 384 using Cochran formula. The sampling technique is multistage cluster sampling and the instrument used for for data collection is questionnaire.
Findings of the research indicate that the sense of security is dependent on age and education. Age and sense of security are positively correlated; however, education and sense of security are negatively correlated. There was no significant difference between males and females regarding the sense of security. Moreover, there is a positive correlation between trust and sense of security. On the other hand, the sense of security among Tehrani citizens is under the average level.
The development of social trust may lead to an increase in the sense of security. There is a strong correlation between institutional trust and sense of security; therefore, improving the performance of institutions and preventing soft crimes in organizations, especially the ones responsible for social order, can be highly influential in the increase of the sense of security as an important indicator of social welfare and development. Cultural and educational planning can also improve the social trust.

Sense of security as a psychosocial phenomenon is affected by several variables. The present study is the result of a research done on the role of social identity of women in their sense of social security. The study benefits from theories made by Giddens and Jenkins and tries to examine 7 hypotheses and sub-hypotheses. Questionnaire was used to collect the required data from women under 18 years old.
The findings of the study demonstrated that 52% of the statistical sample has high, 34.3% has average, and 13.7% has low levels of sense of security. The amount of life security is more than financial one. Examination of hypotheses showed that those who have stronger social religious concerns benefit from higher levels of sense of social security. The study did not prove any relation between the basic trust and sense of security.
