The results showed that cultural capital influences the tendency to do government work. There is no significant relationship between embodied and objectified cultural capital and the tendency to government work, but there was a significant relationship between institutionalized cultural capital and the tendency to government work. Also, it was observed that cultural capital due to the economic and family context affects the tendency to government work, but cultural capital due to the social context did not affect the tendency to government work.

Findings show moderate to high levels of happiness among the subjects and different types of capital (social, cultural and economic) have significant and positive relationship with happiness. Also the regression results indicate that the independent variables were entered into the study explained 14% of the variance in happiness. Results suggest that social and cultural capital plays a major role in levels of happiness but economical capital has a little role in explanation of happiness among the marginal and non-marginalized in Tabriz. According to the findings economical capital is also significant and effective but in order to increase happiness and subjective well-being of study subjects, the focus of policy making and cultural planning should be more on social and cultural capital. Since the beginning of human civilization one of the basic needs of human beings in all cultures has been feeling happy, which affects the physical and mental health of community members. Hence, the aim of this study is to examine the state of feeling of happiness and its relationship with social and cultural capital. The method used in this research is survey and data was gathered using questionnaires. The sample was composed of 384 of citizens of Aran & Bidgol in 2005 and the obtained data was analyzed by the statistical software LISREL and SPSS. The assessment of results showed that the happiness of the sample was at the moderate to high level (7.58) and the amount of happiness in the emotional dimension was at a higher level than cognitive and social dimensions. Also, the average values of social and cultural capital were 66.3 and 40.6 respectively. In analytical findings, statistics showed that there is a direct and significant relationship between social (0.478) and cultural capital (0.402) and feeling of happiness; in other words, with an increase in social and cultural capital, there will be a rise in citizens’ feeling of happiness. Also, the cultural capital indirectly, and by affecting the social capital, leads to an increase in the feeling of happiness.

With the vast social changes in Iran in recent years; the role, view and expectations of girls and women has experienced the most serious social challenges. Their unexampled attendance in various social, political, economic and cultural arenas truly shows this matter. Nonetheless it seems that these codified social programs do not consider the real condition and because of insufficient acquaintance with the target group, don't have the proper congruity with their respondents. The goal of this research is to show an image of basic needs, priorities and preferences of 9 - 18 years old girls in Tehran. Needs of girls are divided under two general social and psycho-individual classes. Results of the research showed that institutional trust and general trust are the most important items for them; and among thirteen determined psycho-individual needs, getting adored, success and kindness are the most important items. Among different kinds of music, juvenile girls prefer listening to pop music. They prefer jaunt with their friends to other kinds of spending leisure time; and happy and comedy is their beloved movie genre. Results of scrutinizing the correlations between different needs and background variables show that economic strata of family has the least meaningful correlations with the needs of juvenile girls. Cultural capital and age- level of education- respectively show more meaningful correlations.

The economic needs of contemporary social formation had changed from production to consumption. This transformation, in addition to cultural turn in sociology and circulation of interest in symbolic processes of social action led to change the consumption into one of the most focal subject matter in contemporary sociology. Current research had been done to identify consumption patterns among resident of Tehran and study the effective factors on these patterns. In the theoretical section along with adoption a macro level and studying historical perspectives, the micro level theories which are based on individual actor’s behaviors and practices, had been studied, too. Methodologically, this is a survey research in which multistage cluster sampling had been used for selection of samples. The data have been collected through questionnaire among 410 citizens of Tehran between ages of 15 to 45. The findings of research are indicative of class distribution of consumption patterns and corresponding of these patterns to individual’s position in social hierarchy. So, it seems that we cannot speak of studying the stratification and social distinctions based on consumption and lifestyle instead of structural and class processes. Because consumption patterns and lifestyles are themselves the manifestations of class position.

This research aims to study the effect of social and cultural capitals on the participation of women in nongovernmental organizations.
In this research, the indices of social relations, social trust, and interaction norms have been used to assess social capital. The indices of embodied, objectified, and institutionalized cultural capitals have been used to evaluate cultural capital.
The research is based on survey method. The statistical population is comprised of 80 females of 19 to 30 years old working voluntarily in the nongovernmental organizations for labor children of Tehran. The samples of this research were selected by random classification method.
The data were collected using a questionnaire, and analyzed statistically using descriptive and inferential methods.
Findings demonstrate that there is a meaningful correlation between social and cultural capitals and participation rate of women working in governmental organizations, i.e. any increase in the social and cultural capitals of women improves the participation rate of such women in NGOs, and vice versa.
